Tiree TurfDog Comp
Published: 2007-10-08 09:57:11

Top UK competitors had an entertaining TurfDog dirt windsurf comp during their second day of the UKWA Tiree Wave Classic. Sunny weather and light wind put the windsurfing on hold for the day, but the conditions were ideal for dirt windsurfing at Crossapol beach. Both slalom and freestyle comps took place, with Andy Chambers winning the freestyle and Colin Dixon taking the slalom. Young gun Aleksy Gayda took out some of the favourites cutting inside Steve King at the gybe mark in the first round and getting third place in the final of the slalom. Graham Woods was on fire in the freestyle, with flakas, punetas, clew first spocks etc, only being beaten by Andy Chambers in a tight final. Andy putting his PWA freestyle experience to good use on the TurfDogs, Well done Andy! More info and photos at www.boardseekermag.com
